FAQ for Conference and PRIDE Career Fair

What do I wear?

The conference is focused on transitioning into the workplace. Attendees should be focused on networking and being dressed for success. We encourage business casual throughout the entire conference and more business formal on Sunday for the career fair and one-on-one networking with representatives from various companies and organizations. You will not be allowed to wear jeans or t-shirts.

How does a group registration work?

Group registration is very easy. Once you have registered your group of 10 or 20 and have submitted your payment for the group, OUT for Work will set up a special group and discount code for you. We will send the representative of the group the discount code for the entire group, which can be sent out to whomever they choose. From that point, any individual who is planning to attend the conference will be able to individually go to the website and put in their school's discount code and register within their group. This makes it easy so that there isn't one person registering everyone and there is no need to know exactly who is attending right away. Groups can be set up anytime and registration within them is so easy. It is recommended that groups are registered early so that there is more time to fill the group.

What do I bring with me?

You will want to bring a pen and notebook with you in case you would like to take notes. In addition, please bring a copy of your resume with you on a flashdrive so that before the career fair, you can make any edits to your resume before printing copies to bring into the career fair.

Do I need to bring a resume with me?

Yes. You will want to have a copy with you to be able to give to the employers and the representatives that you meet. You never know who you might run into and you'll wish you had your resume with you. Remember, this is a networking conference and being prepared is very crucial. Bring your resume on a flashdrive so that you can make edits to it before the career fair.

How do you know if your school is certified for the discount?

If you are unsure if your college/university is in our 2013 Career Center Certification Program, which gets your campus a discount in attendance at the conference, e-mail info@outforwork.com and we will get back to you.
